U.S. News & World Report ranked Jersey City Global Charter School (JCGCS) #5 on its 2021 list of New Jersey’s best charter elementary schools and #7 for charter middle schools. JCGCS has been a MicroSociety school since its founding in 2013.
JCGCS’s serves 484 students in grades K-8, of whom 77% scored at or above the proficient level for math and 87% scored at or above that level for reading. The school’s minority student enrollment is 96%, and 43% of its students are economically disadvantaged.
U.S. News & World Report ranks schools based on their performance on state-required tests, graduation, and how well they prepare their students for high school. JCGCS ranked #38 among all of New Jersey’s 1,370 elementary schools and #60 among its 715 middle schools.
