The Pittsburgh Foundation has awarded MicroSociety Inc. was a generous $21,132 grant to support our ongoing pilot of MicroSociety 2.0 at Penn Hills Charter School of Entrepreneurship. The funds will enable us to continue to work closely with the faculty at PHCSE on Micro 2.0 implementation and to develop important curriculum and instructional supports.

Penn Hills Charter School of Entrepreneurship Earns Accreditation, Grant Money

Penn Hills Charter School of Entrepreneurship was awarded for the first time accreditation from the Commission on Elementary Schools of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools in April, TribLive reported. The school was also granted a 3-year $1.5 million from the Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter Schools in early May as part of Pennsylvania’s Charter School Program Grant.

Federal Grant Awarded to Penn Hills Charter School of Entrepreneurship

The Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter School (PCPCS) on May 10 announced that Penn Hills Charter School of Entrepreneurship, a MicroSociety school since inception in 2011, will be one of three subgrantees for year two of its Pennsylvania’s Charter School Program (PACSP) Grant. The school may receive as much as $1.5 million.
